Had this tasty Spanish blend the other night at dinner. We thought we were merely choosing a “safe” wine that would go with the vast variety of dishes we ordered, but I was rather impressed. You can find their wines here:

I know I always say it’s hard for me to find a good Pinot Noir, and I finally realize why. They usually taste too much like maple syrup to me. Not even joking! My new favorite wine guy at my new favorite wine store confirmed this theory, so I know I’m not the only one who feels this way. In the past I have thought that Pinots have to be $100 range to be worthy, but finally… FINALLY… I have found a fabulous “go to” Pinot in the $30 range. Cherry front, spice back. I can now retire, satisfied.
I don’t understand why people respond with “Well, we have a rose” when I ask for a red wine. Seriously???
NOT GOOD ENOUGH!
The Wine Merchant, Beverly Hills. I went in there the other day to get a gift, and I saw SO many amazing wines that I want! We’re talking your normal wines and then some super spendy wines. They had a very extensive French collection as well.
I’m definitely coming back there when I purchase that Turley I’ve been wanting. Plus, the customer service was fantastic. I highly recommend this place!
Grifone Primitivo. Just trust me.
Grabbed a random bottle of Concannon Syrah. Honestly it’s pretty dry for a Syrah… not sure I’d buy it again. And I’m a huge fan of dry wine! Interesting.
